BSA Honor Awards are given annually to any structure or building of any size or project type anywhere in the world designed by a Massachusetts architect/firm, or any structure or building or project type built in Massachusetts by any architect/firm anywhere in the world. This guide includes the Boston-area project winners.
Judged by an invited visiting jury of AIA architects, the sole criterion is design excellence. The jury is empowered to determine the extent to which design excellence is informed by aesthetic, functional, contextual, sustainability, social, or other characteristics. The jury may elect to honor projects by building type or other categories, or may choose to make no such distinctions.
