This two-mile walk passes a rich mix of Victorian buildings by H.H. Richardson, Charles McKim, Robert Peabody, Carl Fehmer, and William Ralph Emerson, and others, while also including work by moderns including Philip Johnson, Paul Rudolph, Henry Cobb / IM Pei, and Pietro Belluschi. During the day, several of the buildings are open to visitors, including the Gibson House Museum, Trinity Church, and the Boston Public Library.
The walk is designed to start at Arlington St. Church and wind around several blocks to the west up Beacon St., Comm. Ave., and Marlborough Streets before heading to Copley Square on Dartmouth St.
